The Church of Fun, also known as the Party Pleasers or COF, is a cultish group that worships and supposedly serves the Partygoers and The Party Savior. They’re also the creators of Entity 108. Based on the original Partygoer Continuity.
Description[]
The group was founded in the mid-1930s under the belif that it was only by joining what they call The Great Shindig, better known as Level Fun, that one can truly attain eternal peace, freeing themselves from the burdens of pain and suffering caused by being in the backrooms. The main goal of the COF is to convert everyone in the backrooms into a Partygoer to grant them eternal peace and joy. In the meantime, the other goal is to put a halt in the operations of other groups in the Backrooms as well, especially the M.E.G. or whatever Partypoopers are left, so that they're weak enough to neutralize with ease when the time comes.
Though many join voluntarily, some wanderers are also threatened or manipulated into the cult, with those that still refuse to join then being forced to drink what they call punch, which is really the blood of a dead Partygoer they had come across[1]. Drinking it will result in the consumer being brought to Level Fun while they are in the middle of transforming into a Partygoer.
However, despite their nature, they are very accepting of anyone who wishes to join their group, despite any previous affiliation with other groups. The only exception, of course, is with the partypoopers and members of the M.E.G.
Its members mostly travel in pairs, traversing various levels of the backrooms in search of wanderers while also passing themselves off as such. They will usually try to bring any they find into a false sense of security by either saving them from entities or offering them a chance to relax. They will then try to subtly convince you to try and join their ranks and will begin offering you almond water if you decline their offer, gradually becoming more and more persistent until eventually holding you down and making you force drink it as, in reality, the almond water they offered was really punch poured inside of an empty almond water bottle[2].
One common thing that is found with all members, whenever they aren't pretending to be wanderers, is that they each wear, over their heads, a paper bag mask that's been designed to match the appearance of the Partygoers, the appearances of the masks differing with each rank in the cult's hierarchy. Each member also displays some form of mastery over no-clipping, much like those they worship, allowing them to easily traverse the backrooms.
Also, despite their worship towards the Partygoers, members of the Church of Fun will still actively try to evade them so that they aren't killed or turned into one of them. Instead, they will wait until the day they are no longer physically able to serve the cult before then partaking in a Farewell Party and joining the great shindig as reward for a lifetime of service.
They hold several small outposts across various levels of the backrooms, with their main base of operations being on an unknown level with any possible locations being speculatory at most. Also, it's been speculated that they are responsible for the creation of the Party Animals, Hounds that have somehow become converted into Partygoer variants of themselves, becoming much more dangerous thanks to the mix of the partygoer infection and the hound virus, but are still highly feral.
Rituals[]
Farewell Party[]
When a member is no longer physically able to continue their duties within the cult, one last party is thrown to bid them farewell before they then sip from the punch[3] and are taken to Level Fun, allowing themselves to be converted and join the great shindig
Uninvitement[]
Whenever a member is caught committing the crime of killing a partygoer, helping a partypooper, or speaking against their beliefs, then they are punished by being "uninvited", meaning that they are horrifically executed and made into a cake that is then sent to Level Fun as tribute to the Partygoers for disgracing them.
To the COF, this is basically the equivalent of being denied when trying to enter heaven for your sins.
Hierarchy[]
- 1st Row: The Host
- 2nd Row: Planners
- 3rd Row: Caterers, Socializers, Bartenders, Decorators, and Bouncers
- 4th Row: Guests
The Host[]
The Host is the head of the COF, indicated by their mask being white instead of yellow, with a little party hat on top. They have power over the entire group and are often the most skilled and qualified, with many hosts skills in no-clipping matching or even sometimes succeeding the Partygoers themselves.
A Host is chosen after the previous one died, with a vote being created for which of the planners ends up becoming the new one.
The Planners[]
The Planners are basically the commanders, answering directly to the host and making a lot of the big decisions for the other ranks and outposts have to follow. They are characterized by their purple masks.
3rd Row[]
Caterers, they're in charge of food and supplies at all of the outposts and also are responsible for making the uninvitement cakes. They are characterized by their orange masks.
Socializers, are basically diplomats who try to make deals with other groups and colonies who are willing to trade or make alliances with them, usually offering information regarding how to get to certain levels, with the COF's no-clipping experience granting them a bunch of information in that regard. Although, it'd be a risk to trust them as they could very well just give you directions to Level Fun. They also act as preachers and priests. They are characterized by their green masks.
Bartenders, they're responsible for creating fake almond water while also being a sort of research and development, experimenting on Partygoer blood and trying to find more efficient ways of turning others into Partygoers. They also tend to have the responsibility of acting as medics. They are characterized by purple masks.
Decorators, they're responsible for helping plan out and constructing outposts and traps around them, also literally being interior designers for the outposts. They are characterized by their blue masks.
Bouncers, they basically serve as the military and security division with them having the training necessary to do so, with them also being responsible for keeping up with any weaponry they may have. They are characterized by their red masks with white smiley faces.
Guests[]
Guests basically try to convert random wanderers of the Backrooms into the group, whether it's through convincing or manipulation, or convert random wanderers into Partygoers. Of course, if these wanderers are associated in any way with the partypoopers or M.E.G., then it's their job to convert them into partygoers or just kill them outright.
It's also their job to collect Partygoer blood if they ever come across a dead one, as well as collect any and all supplies they come across.
They are characterized as having much less mastery over no-clipping than the others, but are still significantly better than most wanderers, and their masks that greatly resemble Partygoers.

- ↑ This is how Fake Almond Water was made in the first place.
- ↑ For some reason, when this happens, it just teleports them to level fun. No one knows why.
